Red Marsh Grass

SOLD "Red Marsh Grass", 8 x 10 original oil painting on canvas by Mary Hubley

This is the North Florida wilderness. There's lots of marsh, tiny waterways, sawgrass, and tree hammocks (islands in the middle of the grasses). Perhaps I've made the reds more vivid than what most people see, but it's very earthy and increases the intensity, which adds to the painting's interest.

"Red Marsh Grass" made the centerfold of Compass magazine.
