Bridge over a Lily Pond
This little Japanese bridge is located at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Florida. The small white bridge hovers over a dark pond filled with giant water lilies. The lily pond reminds me of Monet's garden at Giverny.Water lilies, goldfish, and pond frogs are small impressions of an abundant landscape, much like Monet's pond masterpieces. Busy pond creatures are energizing; buzzing of summer dragonflies and the chirping of songbirds, I find gentle quietude in these places, spending hours of blissful painting.
